About
Flat Fee Deal is a flat fee listing service for home sellers in North Carolina and South Carolina. We built the software that handles the paperwork, pricing, and coordination of a sale, and we work with licensed brokerages in each state for the parts that require a license.
Why a flat fee
A listing agent’s commission rises with the price of the home, but the work of listing it does not change much. Entering the listing, ordering photos, preparing disclosures, and scheduling showings take about the same effort on a $250,000 house as on a $750,000 one.
So we charge a fixed price for the work. The software handles the repetitive parts, and a licensed broker handles the parts that require a license: reviewing your documents, entering the listing in the MLS, and advising on offers if your package includes that. You keep control of the sale, and the difference stays with you at closing.
Broker of record
Brokerage agreements for North Carolina and South Carolina are being finalized. The brokerage name, broker-in-charge, and license number for each state will be published here and on the licenses page before the first listing is taken.
Verify any license with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission or the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. Full details are on the licenses page.
The company
Flat Fee Deal operates this website and the software behind it. It is not itself a brokerage; brokerage services are provided by the licensed brokerage for the state where the property is located. We are based in Charlotte, NC, and currently serve North Carolina and South Carolina. Other states will be added as brokerage agreements are signed.
